It will be interesting to see how 30 Operators and Device Vendors around the world try to agree upon the standards for the Wholesale Applications Community. It would make sense to have some kind of elected panel to reach the important decisions, but then who gets to be on the panel and will those without a spot agree on the elected decisions?

This is fantastic news on paper. However, pulling this off with 30 heavyweights used to being in charge and control of their own destiny now all agreeing together remains to be seen.

It would be wonderful if they could all leave their egos at the door and pull this off for the common good of all of them, and for common good I mean profits for them and ease of use for the consumer. Both will happen if they can come to an agreement.

I'm intrigued, and want to hear your views on WAC... IMO a 'community' of some of the biggest - inflexible - group of disparate self interest is not a community to be relished.
I do however think we should place bets on whether they can agree on anything, apart from the obvious 'we want money from apps', over the next 12 months.
