Announcing… Mobile Web Megatrends Conference

Our pal, Ajit Jaokar, is organising the first Mobile Web Megatrends conference in The Valley on September 8th 2008 at the Pacific Film Archive Theatre at the University of California Berkeley. Tickets cost a very reasonable $195, but if you’d like to get in free, the first to leave a comment below gets a ticket with MobHappy’s complements.

There’s a great line up of speakers (sadly I can’t make it), including Michael Mace of Mobile Opportunity, my erstwhile AdMob colleague, Mike Rowehl, Jason Spero from AdMob and of course, Ajit himself.

The team will be talking about everything from Android (although it looks like that’s being delayed again) to browsers, from location based services to mobile web advertising – both subjects close to my heart. Also a smattering of startups will be presenting too.

If you’re not quick enough to get a free ticket, register here.

    Free ticket. Whoo-hoo!
  • Dean - you don't have to persuade me of the importance of analytics. AdMob (my day job in case you missed it) has just launched in beta a totally free solution and the initial feedback is really great.

As to a panel, you'll have to ask Ajit as I'm not involved in the organisation.

  • lol - you know where to email my ticket.

But on a serious note any thoughts on including a panel to discuss mobile analytics?

I'd love to come and be on a panel to discuss mobile analytics and the practical ramifications of what you can do with not only Amethon's wireline capture Mobile Analytics but also tag/og file based solutions other vendors are using.

It's seems such a sorely misrepresented topic at most panels and lets face it if you are tracking utlisation and functionality then whats the point of mobile content iteraction in the first place.

    Cheers,
