Manny, is this wrong: “Contracted there a while ago, but no more.” You also said this: “I offered SEO expertise and tips to the person you described above, who is involved in this.” It seems that helping a buddy out and contracting with DSW are completely different.

So just to clarify: you are “SEOColumbus” on Twitter, and an SEOColumbus employee, but you are not the person in the LinkedIn profile, who is a DSW employee and founder/president of SEOColumbus? Why didn’t you say that when the LinkedIn profile first came up on Twitter, instead of just saying it was outdated?

That is my connection. I offered SEO expertise and tips to the person you described above, who is involved in this. Through that, I like the company because of that connection but have no personal interest in it other than seeing my friends succeed. He took down his linked-in profile after I told him what was going on, but you posted wrong info on the wrong dude.

Unfortunately, your detective work forgot to include the possibility that SEO Columbus LLC has about 20 employees.

I think it is a little hypocritical that you are writing about someone being not-so-smart, considering you didn’t exactly do much research yourself. I have the SEOColumbus username on Twitter, but the owner of the company does not. I work at SEO Columbus, but not DSW. You are incorrectly, and in a somewhat libelous manner, implicating the wrong person. But speaking of lawsuits, I hope you have a good attorney as well!

Transparency is what makes Zappos social media outreach so important.

They came into the eCommerce world a million years too late, and then SEOColumbus does this. WTG guys! DSW has just shot themselves in the foot.
