I’m headed down to the Consumer Electronics Show this morning, and I’ll be there most of the week. Posting about the event here on MH may be light, but I’ll do my best to keep up, and I’ll take some photos and upload them to the MH Flickr account, and I’ll throw some news in the MH Twitter feed, also, so keep an eye on those.
If there are any gadgets you want me to check out, feel free to leave a comment and I’ll see what I can do. Alternatively, if you’ve got a product at CES or something else you’d like me to see, drop me an email at carlo at mobhappy dot com.

hope i bump into you Carlo!
Carlo, you ought to try to blag a shiny new N95 8GB from Nokia
Whilst you’re at it, ask them why they don’t do multi-band WCDMA devices. I’m sure it’s not a lack of radio-tech skills, is it because of Qualcomm’s patent-trolling?
I’d like to see coverage of shiny new devices, but it might be more pertinent for us Europeans to have a great overview of the entire American “wireless” scene; trying to understand an audience that apparently buy Moto, Palm, and WinMo phones willingly is an alien concept to most of us.
There’s a lot of talk but perhaps less action here in Europe on the potential of inbuilt GPS handset technology, present on some Nokia phones.
It would be great if you could let the community know what trends are coming through from the US (if any) in this area and whether there is as much hype there as in Europe (some observers here are claiming all handsets will have inbuilt GPS within 2-3 years).
Also, m-payment technology will, in my view, be one of the areas to make most progress in 2008…could you provide some insight into whether the NFC/contactless technology is being discussed at the CES and whether any manufacturer is bold enough to talk about the future of the mobile wallet?
