Is That Open, or Open*?

Screenshot0008.jpgGoogle and its new mobile pals dropped a lot of buzzwords yesterday, like “open”, “innovation” and “better user experience”. Try to visit from your mobile browser (or at least the web browser from a Nokia S60 device), and keep all those nice big words in mind when you don’t get served the page, but rather the Google Mobile page.

I guess it’s a better user experience than a sharp stick in the eye, but the innovative bit is a little hard to see. As far as open, I guess it’s just a reminder that things are only going to be as “open” as Google wants them to be.
