60% Of US Mobile Subs Are Lucky Guessers

40% of US mobile subscribers do not know whether their operator offers 3G – ZDNet:

Nearly 40% of US respondents couldn’t correctly identify whether or not their mobile carrier offered 3G service, In-Stat says.

It’s a bit more surprising that more than 60% could — after all, why should Joe Public need to know what 3G is? Sell people services and applications, not technologies.
