[...] Bastian Lehmann followed from Refresh Mobile, a buy out from T-Mobile, who I’ve written about before on MobHappy and I think is very cool. It’s a Java download (no doubt, to the delight of sponsors, Sun), which then gives you a magazine from leading media properties from the FT to GQ.
I added a comment to this on my blog, and I won't post it here this time. I've tried to provide more examples of where different technologies apply.

My recommendation would be "mobile web" or "mobile browser-based" - prob the latter, as mobile internet and mobile web is about both browser-based mobile clients, and richer clients consuming web services, etc... If you don't like the latter, then mobile web is more accurate than mobile internet for mobile thin clients. :-) My 2 cents.

Enrique, I'm using WAP more generically than technically. To the layman, using a phone to browse the net is to do so over WAP. But you're right, we should be more precise here. How about if we use the "mobile internet"? Bit of a mouthful, but better than WAP perhaps.

This mobile magazine (text photos) is a good example of an application that will do fine as browser-based... For magazines that can be downloaded for later reading when offline, then a rich.local client is needed.

When you say WAP, do you mean "browser-based"? WAP per se is getting phased out...
