It is unusual for me, of all people, to find myself at a loss for words. However, when Russell asked me to join MobHappy along with himself and Carlo Longino I didnǃÙt know quite what to say.
In some respects it felt the way it did many years ago when I got my first professional contract to race a bike. I felt like looking over my shoulder to see if perhaps he was talking to someone behind me.
IǃÙve been reading the work of Russell and Carlo for some time. Both men are giants in the field of mobile thought. Even taking over the Mobile Weblog from Russell wasnǃÙt the same as actually being asked to join him, to become a comrade in arms so to speak. To actually have my work appear in the same space as CarloǃÙs or RussellǃÙs is quite an honor for me. The fact that of all the thousands of people now writing about mobile they chose me is something I donǃÙt take lightly.
A very high standard has been set here at MobHappy and I will do my utmost to continue in that tradition and share the ideas, insights and opinions that I hope will make my addition to the Mobhappy team one that is valuable to Russell and Carlo and even more particularly to our readers.
To everyone that has helped make my work at Mobile Weblog a success, my thanks. IǃÙm looking forward to carrying on with what I started, here, at MobHappy with my excellent new partners. I am pleased to be here and to be a part of something exceptional.
