New Nokia, MS Music Smartphones

Posted by on 11.02.05 | Comment?

Three new devices today. The first two are new additions to Nokia’s N series: the N80 (below left) and the N71 (right). The N80’s packed, with a three-megapixel camera and Wi-Fi, and it’s part of Nokia’s Xpress Music line, a program that’s intended to let consumers know which devices has certain music features like dedicated playback keys, standard headphone jacks and wide format support. The N71 supports various formats, and has an FM radio and works with Visual Radio. Both handsets are 3G, are supposed to be available in the first quarter of 2006, the N80 for 500 euros and the N71 for 400, and they’re both running the Symbian OS and S60 UI.

HTC of Taiwan also announced the Muse, a Windows Mobile device with 4GB of flash memory, UMTS support, and Wi-Fi as well. Wonder where they’re getting their design cues… No word on availability or pricing.
